Lounge Bar at the cnoc na faire

Lounge Bar Café

The popular lounge bar has views over the sea to Skye and is normally quite busy with locals and visitors. Sink into the leather sofas with a Cappuccino or a dram, read the papers, enjoy a Bar Lunch or Bar Supper or just join in with the Craic @ the Cnoc.

Our Houseguests can register upstairs in private. They may also enjoy a complimentary dram before retiring for the evening or sign the guest book along with such names as Jack McConnell, Scotland’s former First Minister, Media Stars, cast from Monarch of the Glen TV programme and regular guests such as “Vlad the Dog” and his owners.

We believe we offer one of the best breakfasts in the area. What could be better than a delicious breakfast with views of the mountains of Morar as a backdrop. Homemade Muesli, Smoked Salmon Omelette, Mallaig Kippers, freshly ground coffee, just a taste of our Highland Breakfast, which is included in the price of your accommodation. Should you prefer, have your Highland Breakfast in Bed, with Strawberries and Champagne for that special occasion.

Eating at the Cnoc

Bar Lunches and Suppers are served in the Bar. Dinner can also be taken in our Restaurant where the style is relaxed and “unbuttoned”. We try to source mostly Scottish produce for our menus which change frequently. Evening dining often reflects the local fish catch of the day landed at nearby Mallaig; grilled Minch Langoustines, Loch Nevis Moules, hand dive Scallops. For meatier tastes try Isle of Skye Lamb Shank or Aberdeen Angus Fillet Steak sitting on haggis and tattie mash. Vegetarian tastes are well catered for with ever changing choices such as Scottish Goats Cheese drizzled with Hot Honey and a variety of homemade
Vegetable Bakes.
Cnoc-na-Faire is proud to have been included in “A Flavour of Scotland”, the Visit Scotland guide to quality eating.
On fine evenings take in the stunning scenery and sunsets from the outside terrace, sip on a Malt, enjoy an Espresso or dine “Al Fresco”. On the not so fine evenings why not cosy in and order your food and drinks from Room Service.

Something Special ?

Thinking of something special – then let us help.
Although we are small we do have the expertise to bring your ideas to life. Here are some of the “Special Touches” we have created for our guests. We can set the scene for a wedding up to 100 people in an outside Marquis. Something smaller – no problem, our Restaurant can accommodate up to 20 guests. A popular choice with many of our guests is to get married on the beach at Camusdarroch, then back to Cnoc-na-Faire for celebrations. We can put you in touch with the owners of Camusdarroch Estate as well as local Hairdresser, Florist and Photographer.

Why not propose to your partner with a special champagne table set up under our Saltire flag with the Isle of Skye as a backdrop.

Somthing special

Birthday trips and Christening parties are another of our specialities. Get a group of friends together and visit for the weekend, take over The Cnoc, enjoy dinner and the “Craic” around a large table for 12, pop down for breakfast with your slippers on, or better still have Breakfast in Bed. You’ll return to work on Monday morning relaxed and refreshed after your Highland getaway.
